Iconic luxury goods maker Louis Vuitton has opened its 137^th boutique in North America at the newly revamped Santa Monica Place shopping mall, which marks the brand’s first opening on the west side of Los Angeles.

The spacious boutique showcases a prominent curved glass exterior and is situated in a prime location on the central plaza on the ground floor of the mall. The year is shaping up quite well for LVMH and its subsidiary brands. The leading luxury products company has reason to celebrate; showing strong sales across all business units with revenue of €9.1 billion in the first half of 2010, a significant jump of +16% from the first half of last year. Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2010-2011 ad campaign is chock-full of 50’s inspired ladylike glamour. The campaign was shot by famed photographer Steven Meisel and features the timeless beauty of models Christy Turlington, Natalia Vodianova and Karen Elson.

Under the creative direction of Marc Jacobs, the campaign is set in a backstage dressing room reminiscent of “Old Hollywood” and showcases the LV Fall 2010 collection including jaw-dropping retro handbags and elegant shoes.
