Karl Lagerfeld shows off his film-making talents for the short film “Vol de Jour” which was shot for Chanel’s pre spring / summer collection.
Models, Lara Stone and Baptiste Giabicioni pull off a haute couture fashion “heist” of sorts in the short film, robbing Chanel boutiques of high-end wares all around Paris while apparently on a date. During the Lagerfeld short, the Parisian version of “Bonnie and Clyde” are seen raiding various Chanel boutiques and hopping on their Chanel motorbike to make a quick getaway but mysteriously, after the second or third robbery the hot designer wheels are replaced by an average non-descript car. We expected to see the Chanel Fiole concept car designed by Jinyoung Jo featured in the film. Wouldn’t that have been perfect product placement?
